Dr. Joe Bisesi who is part of the Center for Enviromental and Human Toxicology has won the 2025 Water Institute Distinguished Faculty Fellows Award. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental and Global Health, studies the impact of waterborne chemicals on aquatic ecosystems. His work includes exposure studies with fish and invertebrates, as well as research on contaminant fate and bioaccumulation through water and wastewater surveillance. He has also developed two courses to expand student education in environmental toxicology and water science.
