Designing Nanoparticle-based Dispersants with Improved Efficiency and Biocompatibility

Funding from GOMRI

This project is examining the toxicity of nanoparticle dispersants as a way to combat future oil spills in the environment.  In addition it is testing whether the nanoparticle dispersants make oil less bioavailable to fathead minnow juveniles.

Linkage of In Vitro Assay Results With In Vivo End Points.

Funding from SFEI

This project is using high throughput in vitro transactivation assays to determine estrogen equivalence and is linking in vitro assays to in vivo endpoints in Menidia beryllina.
