Current Research Interests

  • Molecular and biochemical effects of endocrine disrupting pharmaceuticals and contaminants in fish
  • Detecting in vivo distribution of single-walled carbon nanotubes in fish
  • Determining how binding of nutrients and contaminants to carbon based nano-materials may influence their toxicity
  • Fish behavior as an ecologically relevant indicator of low-level toxicity

Education

  • Ph.D., Environmental Toxicology, Clemson University, Clemson, SC. (2011)
  • M.S., Biological Sciences, Clemson University, Clemson, SC. (2007)
  • B.S., Biological Sciences, Clemson University, Clemson, SC. (2005)
