The cost per sample is based upon the cost of materials, labor, instrument time, and UF facilities and administrative (F&A) costs. The F&A rate of 18% is waived for IDC-generating UF projects. The cost per sample is also based upon the number of samples to be analyzed. Costs may be substantially higher if only a few samples are to be run and cannot be batched with other samples for the same analysis. Costs may be substantially lower if the client is able to do some or all of the sample preparation work, thereby reducing labor costs. The laboratory is willing to develop new analytic methods to meet customer needs, with pricing depending on factors including the estimated cost of labor and materials.
Please contact Dr. Marianne Kozuch, kozuchm@ufl.edu, to discuss the analytical goals of your project.
All analysis results will be sent via electronic form and will include a table with the list of the samples and analyte concentration, the LOD and LOQ specific for the analysis, and a brief summary of the methods used for sample purification and data acquisition.
